PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Don The Mungo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slice has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Mungo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Slice's sensitive parts.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The Mungo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Slice is surviving well by controlling The Mungo's body position as best he can.

The Mungo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Slice has worked his arm free - good work by Slice!

The Mungo swings around for an armbar but Slice sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into The Mungo's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The Mungo keeps the fight on the outside.
The Mungo shoots in looking for a takedown. Slice tries to sprawl out of it but The Mungo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slice manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Slice pushes The Mungo off and gets back to his feet.

Let's hope that Slice has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Slice changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Slice is nestled in close to The Mungo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well Slice has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
