Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darnell Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shears comes to the cage accompanied by Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Darnell Jefferson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Darnell Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shears is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jefferson.
Jefferson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jefferson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jefferson throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Shears works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Jefferson stalling away here and it's allowed Shears to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jefferson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shears dives on top into guard.
Shears working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jefferson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shears!
Jefferson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shears is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shears gets back to half guard.
Jefferson works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jefferson misses with a head shot.
Jefferson throws a strike there. Shears manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shears is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jefferson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jefferson's back!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jefferson can't escape the position.
Shears working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Jefferson is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Shears has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Jefferson taps out!
