The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

matter drives through with a takedown into guard.
matter trying to control the position from guard on top but McGee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McGee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
matter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McGee is keeping the position for now.
McGee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McGee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McGee wants to stand up but matter has a hold of him and won't allow it.
matter gets full guard.
McGee pushes down on matter's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McGee wants to get back to his feet.

McGee lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

matter has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for McGee. Oh but matter has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! McGee goes limp - he's gone! matter jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
