Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuki Hilli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Slutskaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slutskaya fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hilli scores with a takedown into Slutskaya's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hilli trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Slutskaya working for a triangle but Hilli defends it easily.

Hilli won't allow Slutskaya to sweep him here.

Slutskaya looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hilli has picked Slutskaya up and slammed him! Slutskaya can't keep hold of the triangle and Hilli manages to pass to side control!
Hilli is looking to take a break and control but Slutskaya is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hilli is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slutskaya is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slutskaya is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hilli lands a decent elbow from side control.
Hilli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slutskaya on the ground.
Slutskaya gets back to half guard.

Hilli seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Slutskaya has recovered full guard.

Slutskaya escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hilli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Slutskaya looking for a sweep. Not yet Slutskaya, not yet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hilli wants to stand but Slutskaya has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Slutskaya is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hilli throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Slutskaya's body to avoid the submission. Slutskaya has instead reached around Hilli's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Slutskaya arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
