The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Prince does no damage.
Prince misses with a two punch combination.

Prince darts in and clinches Matthew up against the cage.
Matthew tries to score a body lock takedown but Prince shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Matthew drops down looking for an ankle pick but Prince pulls his leg out and moves away.

Matthew shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Prince tries to reverse the position but Matthew maintains control.
Prince slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matthew not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Still in half guard, Matthew seems content to control.
Prince tries to get to full guard but Matthew has control of the leg.

Matthew wants to free his trapped foot but Prince is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Prince pushes Matthew off looking to stand but Matthew dives back in and keeps control.
Matthew is looking to stall here but Prince recovers full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Prince moves out of range as Matthew throws a body kick.
Prince tries to clinch there but Matthew circles away.

Prince drops Matthew with a left right combo! Prince follows him down to the ground into side control.

It looks like Thomas Matthew has been cut.
Matthew is breathing heavily.

Prince stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Prince misses with a double jab.
No joy there for Prince, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Prince tries to clinch up but Matthew circles away and keeps his distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabrice Prince dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Prince throws a right hand that Matthew ducks under and follows up with a left that Matthew also avoids with ease.
Prince lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Matthew is looking to close the distance but Prince sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Matthew crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Matthew is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
