The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stakanu throws a low kick, looking for McFly's leg but McFly calmly moves out of range.

Stakanu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stakanu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

McFly lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
