Owens has chosen The Word Best Friend Becomes Redefined as his entrance music. Craig Owens has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with louis coleman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, louis coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Owens!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Owens looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Owens is fighting to break coleman's control of his arms but coleman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
coleman looking for a sweep. Not yet coleman, not yet.
Owens is looking to work some ground and pound but coleman has wrist control.
coleman wants to sweep here but Owens controlling him for the moment.
Owens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Owens lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Owens is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
coleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Owens advances to half guard.
coleman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Owens is working away from the top position though.
Owens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

coleman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Owens scores with a couple of nice shots.
coleman wants to get back to his feet.

coleman wants to control but Owens is keeping busy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Owens winds up and cracks coleman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Owens is keen to just control but coleman is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Owens in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that Owens has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Owens thows a huge punch but coleman dodges it nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Owens in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Owens is looking to take a break and control but coleman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Owens connects with a nice short shot to coleman's temple.
coleman pushes Owens off looking to stand but Owens dives back in and keeps control.
Owens throwing shots but coleman is blocking nicely.
coleman wants to get back to full guard.
coleman on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Owens breaks from coleman's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Owens avoids the attempt from coleman to control.
Owens tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Owens blocks coleman's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Owens has hold of coleman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and coleman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Owens tries to control but coleman wriggling away.

coleman is bucking up trying to escape but Owens cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
coleman is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
coleman is trying to stand up.
Owens controlling the pace for now.
Owens fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Craig Owens has got the better of the ground game so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Owens controlling from mount.
A nice elbow there by Owens.
The referee warns coleman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
coleman wants to control but Owens is having none of it.
Owens tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Owens lands with some strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Craig Owens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Owens is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. coleman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Craig Owens is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Owens controlling the position easily from mount.
Owens cracks coleman with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Owens takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Craig Owens just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Owens dives in and grabs coleman's left leg, looking for a takedown. coleman pushes down on Owens's head and hops out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Owens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says coleman as he avoids it easily.

and Owens counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for coleman!

Craig Owens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Owens winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
