The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Virta does no damage.
Ara Virta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Virta throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
bryant throws a body punch but Virta moves out of range.
bryant tries to clinch but Virta is having none of it.
bryant keeps the fight on the outside.

and Virta counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps bryant thinking.
bryant shoots in looking for a takedown. Virta tries to sprawl out of it but bryant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Virta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Virta connects with a jab.
It looks like parker bryant has been cut.
Virta misses the jab.
bryant dodges the punch combination from Virta.
bryant darts in trying to clinch
and Virta counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts bryant off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Virta follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but bryant was out before he hit the floor.
