Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Colin Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murphy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Who did well to prevent Murphy getting side control.
Who looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Murphy seems to be working for a kimura but Who defends the submission attempt.

Murphy is looking for a kimura but Who is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Murphy to get the leverage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murphy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Who has managed to free his arm - good work.
Murphy wants to pass the guard but Who is defending well.

Murphy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Murphy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Who wants to sweep here but Murphy controlling him for the moment.

Murphy gets to his feet - Who follows without any prompting.

Murphy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Who tries to roll over but Murphy keeps him under control.

Murphy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Murphy seems to be looking for submissions.
Who is pressing down on Murphy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Murphy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Who dives in and grabs Murphy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Murphy pushes down on Who's head and hops out.

Murphy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Murphy tries to stand but can't do so whilst Who controls his leg.

Who is defending against the submission attempts here by Murphy.

Murphy is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Who is just riding it out for now. Murphy eventually gives up the hold.

Who manages to escape and get back to his feet!

and Who counters with a takedown into side control.
Murphy tries to escape but Who is in control.

Who wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murphy, who protects the arm well.
Who takes a little break here. Murphy wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Murphy tries to buck Who off but Who is having none of it.
Who tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Murphy is looking to regain half guard here but Who keeps moving and retains side control.
Who trying to control the action but Murphy is working from the bottom.
Murphy tries to improve position but can't.
Murphy wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Murphy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Who's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Colin Murphy dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Who changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murphy tries to avoid it but Who manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murphy to the ground. Murphy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Who gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Murphy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Guess Who is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Murphy misses with a takedown

and Who counters with a shoot takedown. Murphy fights it but they end up in guard.
Who passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Murphy tries to bench press Who off him but Who keeps the position.

Who is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Murphy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Who gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Murphy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Who lets go of the hold and Murphy can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Guess Who!
