Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Kronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Valdivia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdivia dodges the punch combination from Kronic.
Valdivia fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kronic.
Kronic fails with a takedown attempt.
Kronic pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kronic tries to score with a low kick but Valdivia moves his leg out of the way.

Valdivia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kronic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kronic scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Valdivia doesn't seem bothered though.

Valdivia should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kronic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Valdivia's half guard.
Valdivia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kronic is working away from the top position though.

Kronic bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Valdivia's head backwards.

Kronic throws a head kick but Valdivia moves out of range.

and Kronic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Kronic seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Valdivia for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
