The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombs tests Samuels's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Samuels working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bombs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bombs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Samuels manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bombs is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Samuels has control of Bombs's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bombs regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Samuels is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bombs has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bombs!

Bombs throws and low kick but Samuels moves out of range easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bombs tries to lock up and control but Samuels gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Samuels has hold of Bombs's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bombs manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
