PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Braga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Mrowiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Braga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Piotr Mrowiec!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mrowiec napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Braga could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mrowiec is trying to control Braga's posture but Braga avoids it.
Braga misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Braga controls the position.

Mrowiec wants to control but Braga postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mrowiec is letting Braga control him for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Mrowiec's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mrowiec regains half guard.
Braga is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mrowiec tries to roll over but Braga keeps him under control.

Braga decides to stand and escape the position.

Braga tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Carlos Braga just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Braga counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mrowiec's guard now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Braga closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Braga lands in his opponent's guard.
Braga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Braga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mrowiec for as long as he can get away with.

Mrowiec is breathing heavily.

Braga decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Braga seems to be looking for submissions.

Braga maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mrowiec could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Braga has cracked it and Mrowiec is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Braga!
