Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Smash Hitter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conquer This (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hitter has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Smash Hitter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
This shoots for a takedown but Hitter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice sprawl there from This as Hitter shoots in.
This shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hitter as he jumps to the side.
This tries to clinch up.
Hitter misses with a wild combination.

Hitter has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hitter prevents a takedown attempt there.
Smash Hitter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conquer This.
Hitter wants to get back to striking at distance but This won't allow it.
Hitter is breathing heavily.
This has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hitter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
This wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Hitter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This misses with a series of wild punches.
This circles away from the clinch attempt.
This fails with the takedown.
Hitter tries to clinch up but This circles away and keeps his distance.
Hitter throws the kick towards the body but This avoids it.
This uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
This lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hitter at a distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for This.

Smash Hitter's cut is getting worse.
This lands a nice looking body shot.

This looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
This trying to control the position from guard on top but Hitter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
This won't allow Hitter to sweep him here.
This wants to control from the top but Hitter keeps moving.
Hitter wants to get back to his feet but This is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
This is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hitter keeping moving, preventing This from controlling successfully.
This tries to stand but Hitter is controlling from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hitter lands a two punch combo.
This wants to clinch

and Hitter counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
This is trying to maintain the position but Hitter is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hitter working This over with strikes.
Hitter moves into full mount! This won't be happy about that!
This is trying to escape the mount.
This is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
This is trying desperately to improve position.
Hitter looking to finish with strikes here!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is desperately trying to improve his position but Hitter has a good base and remains in mount.
Hitter thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
This is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Smash Hitter will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Smash Hitter's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

This bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hitter's head.
This moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Hitter is rocked!
This shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oh Hitter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from This! Hitter is out on his feet! This rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hitter is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hitter is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
