Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Hoetzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ford Prefect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prefect has chosen Mos Def - Mathematics as his entrance music. Ford Prefect is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoetzer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Prefect throws an overhand right that lands on Hoetzer's shoulder, as Hoetzer tries to avoid the shot.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Prefect is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hoetzer can't fight it off and eventually Prefect manages to take the fight to the floor. Hoetzer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hoetzer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Prefect postures up in Hoetzer's guard and throws a big left but Hoetzer blocks it.

Hoetzer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hoetzer is trying to force a seperation but Prefect has the dominant position.

The referee is keeping an eye on Prefect - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
