The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takai feints and as Entreri raises his hands in defense, Takai changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Takai wants to control from the top but Entreri keeps moving.

Takai drops back, looking for a kneebar! Entreri looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Entreri looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Entreri!
Entreri advances nicely into full mount.

Entreri looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Entreri trying to control but Takai is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Entreri jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Takai manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Entreri tries for a kimura but Takai is defending well.

Entreri with the ground and pound but Takai regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Entreri thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Entreri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Takai keeps working.
Entreri not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Entreri really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Takai manages to get to full guard.

Takai is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Entreri trying to control but Takai is working from the bottom.
Entreri looking to sit in guard and control but Takai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Entreri looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Entreri keeping full guard, as Takai tries to pass.
Takai must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Some wild striking there from Entreri.
Takai ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Entreri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takai.

Takai looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Entreri!

Takai is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Entreri has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Entreri!
Entreri in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Takai had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Entreri defends it easily.

Entreri trying to control but Takai is working from the bottom.
Entreri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takai swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Takai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Entreri gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Entreri with a flurry of punches that miss.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Entreri wants to pass the guard but Takai is keeping the position.
Entreri is working hard here to advance position.

Entreri has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Takai to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Entreri is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Takai pulls down on the head and he's put Entreri to sleep! This one is all over!
