The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Ross lands.
Barrera throws a looping overhand right but Ross ducks down to avoid it.
Barrera is looking to score with low kicks.
Barrera stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ross.
Barrera lands with a nice body punch.
Ross lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barrera's sensitive parts.
Barrera swings for the body but Ross moves out of range.

Barrera throws a shot from downtown. Ross moves away and avoids it.

Barrera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ross moves away.
Ross goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Dave Barrera has been cut.

Barrera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ross throws a head kick that misses.
Rick Ross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ross falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ross takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ross lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ross blocks a jab.
Ross moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A slapping leg kick lands for Ross.
Ross tries to bum rush Barrera with a series of wild strikes but Barrera uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ross catches Barrera with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nice straight punches there by Ross. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ross.
Ross moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Barrera swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ross counters with an inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Ross counters with a nice body shot.

Ross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ross bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

and Ross counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Ross counters with a low kick, right behind Barrera 's knee.
