The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyoton defending well as Ander loads up on a big left hand.
Lyoton throws a body punch but Ander moves out of range.
Lyoton looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Ander shoots in but Lyoton avoids the takedown attempt easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ander accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ander wants to pass the guard but Lyoton is keeping the position.

Ander manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lyoton manages to get himself to full guard.

Lyoton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ander's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ander's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lyoton is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ander defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Ander tries to escape but Lyoton has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Ander is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lyoton controlling the pace for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lyoton takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Ander turns into Lyoton and is now in his guard.

Lyoton has his foot on Ander's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ander works his way back into a safe position though.

It looks like Machidan Lyoton has been cut.

Lyoton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ander wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Machidan Lyoton will probably get the nod.

Ander checks a leg kick nicely.
Ander throws a hook to the side of Lyoton's head but Lyoton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ander misses with an uppercut.
Lyoton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ander was well out of range. Poor timing from Lyoton.
Lyoton feints and then cracks Ander's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ander down.
Ander shoots in for a takedown but Lyoton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ander swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice jab there from Lyoton.
Lyoton throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ander counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lyoton thinking.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ander is defended easily by Lyoton.
Ander shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lyoton pinned against the cage. Lyoton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Machidan Lyoton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josu Ander.

Ander is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lyoton.

Lyoton quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ander has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lyoton celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
