The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pato is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Freud has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pato finds it's way round the side to connect with Freud's head.

Pato bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Freud takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Pato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Freud is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Pato is controlling him well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Freud tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pato paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pato wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Freud has him pressed against the cage.
Pato blocks an elbow strike from Freud.
Freud using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pato has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Freud fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Freud is looking to control Pato's arms but Pato gets an underhook and turns him. Now Freud has his back to the cage.

Pato has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Freud clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Pato cracks Freud with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Freud from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Pato scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Pato really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Freud.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pato moves into full mount! Freud won't be happy about that!
Freud is bucking up trying to escape but Pato cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Freud is desperately trying to improve his position but Pato has a good base and remains in mount.
Pato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Pato postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Freud looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pato cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
