The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kovakanki. No joy for Kowashaki on that attempt.
Kowashaki looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Kowashaki rushes Kovakanki and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kowashaki looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Kovakanki pulls Kowashaki into guard.

Kowashaki trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kovakanki's guard.
Kowashaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kovakanki tries to strike from the bottom.
Kovakanki wants to sweep here but Kowashaki controlling him for the moment.
Kowashaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Kovakanki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kovakanki doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Kovakanki is pulling down on Kowashaki's head to control his posture.
Kowashaki is sitting in close to Kovakanki's body. Kovakanki has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kowashaki is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kowashaki is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kovakanki.
