Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Irwin Estevez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valentijn Van Damme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Damme can do anything to dispel that myth.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Estevez works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Estevez misses with the ground and pound.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Van Damme ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Estevez waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Van Damme. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Van Damme to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Van Damme seems to have recovered his senses.
Estevez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Estevez loads up on a big left hand. Van Damme felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Estevez looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Van Damme can't hide his disappointment, as Estevez celebrates the victory.
