PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trujillo has chosen Welcome to the Jungle as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that John Panther has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Panther seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Panther!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Trujillo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panther scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Panther knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trujillo on the ground.

Panther got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trujillo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Panther has managed to get both his arms back between Trujillo's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Panther shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trujillo sprawls well. Trujillo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Panther gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

John Panther showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Panther has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
