Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and CHUCCK Lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lidell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tyson, pushing him back against the cage.

Lidell manages to break the clinch.
Tyson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lidell tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tyson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tyson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lidell avoids it really well and circles away.
Lidell gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Tyson.
Tyson slips a jab and a cross from Lidell.
Tyson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tyson tries to clinch up

and Lidell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lidell blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lidell tries to pull guard but Tyson holds him up against the cage and eventually Lidell drops back down to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lidell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Lidell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tyson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Lidell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lidell.
Lidell misses with a punch on the inside.
Lidell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tyson smiles and moves away.

and Lidell counters with a two punch combo.
Tyson scores with a jab. Lidell acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Tyson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lidell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lidell avoids the body shot from Tyson.
Tyson lands with a right hand.
Tyson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lidell on the side of the head.
Tyson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Lidell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Lidell gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tyson regains guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tyson is looking for a triangle but Lidell pushes his legs off easily.
Tyson is breathing heavily.

Lidell drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick Lidell off! Lidell jumps back into Tyson's guard.

Tyson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lidell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tyson has his foot on Lidell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lidell works his way back into a safe position though.

Tyson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lidell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Lidell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tyson, up you get!
Tyson closes the distance but Lidell moves to the side
and Lidell counters with a head kick. That will keep Tyson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Tyson scores with a hook to the body. Lidell takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lidell throws a right and a left that Tyson avoids nicely.
CHUCCK Lidell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lidell misses with a series of wild punches.
Lidell circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lidell counters with a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tyson fails with the takedown
and Lidell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Tyson's knee momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Tyson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lidell instigates a clinch.

Lidell jumps guard and drags Tyson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tyson wants to control from the top but Lidell keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lidell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lidell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tyson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lidell keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lidell clinches up with Tyson and pushes him back against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Lidell.
Tyson lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Tyson wants a takedown.
Lidell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tyson walks away with a smile on his face. Lidell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tyson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lidell defends it nicely.
Lidell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

CHUCCK Lidell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lidell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tyson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mike Tyson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of CHUCCK Lidell.
