The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kampmann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kampmann off to one side.
Kampmann shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lars Kampmann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kampmann wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Lars Kampmann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Jones.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
Kampmann shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
Kampmann shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kampmann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kampmann gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones leaves Kampmann with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kampmann.
Kampmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Kampmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kampmann dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kampmann circles away quickly and effectively.
Kampmann misses with a hook.

Kampmann tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Kampmann connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jones momentarily.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kampmann looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jones has his feet on Kampmann's thighs here. He's pushed Kampmann off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kampmann screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
