Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Boombatz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunners (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Boombatz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Gunners!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boombatz feints and as Gunners raises his hands in defense, Boombatz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Boombatz wants to control from the top but Gunners keeps moving.
Boombatz throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boombatz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Boombatz trying to pass the guard but Gunners defending well.
Gunners is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gunners looks like he's trying to stand up.
Gunners looks gassed!

Boombatz decides to stand and escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boombatz shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Boombatz was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gunners really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boombatz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Boombatz has control of Gunners's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gunners regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Boombatz goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Gunners is on top in guard.

Boombatz is looking for a triangle but Gunners pushes his legs off easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boombatz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gunners is one step ahead there.

Boombatz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gunners can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boombatz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gunners doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gunners manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boombatz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunners gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boombatz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gunners manages to get himself to full guard.

Boombatz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gunners dives on top into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boombatz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Boombatz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gunners doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gunners manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gunners must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Boombatz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gunners sprawls well initially but Boombatz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Boombatz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gunners defends it well.
Boombatz is looking to take a break and control but Gunners is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Boombatz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gunners doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boombatz.
Boombatz passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gunners!
Gunners is breathing heavily.

Boombatz wants to finish this one by submission but Gunners is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Boombatz.
Gunners is controlling an arm, preventing Boombatz from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Boombatz is working for a guillotine from mount but Gunners frees his head quite easily.

Boombatz is standing up, even though he is in mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Boombatz gets the takedown into side control.

Boombatz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gunners, who protects the arm well.

Boombatz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gunners is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Boombatz sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Gunners is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gunners is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Boombatz has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Boombatz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gunners, who protects the arm well.

Gunners wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Boombatz has hold of Gunners's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gunners tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Boombatz cranks the arm and Gunners screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gunners, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Bobby Boombatz!
