Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Karatinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Rob Kelly feat.Slaine - Dropkicked. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva takes the fight into the clinch.
Silva has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Karatinov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Silva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Karatinov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Karatinov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Karatinov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Karatinov throws a strike but Silva rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Karatinov wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Silva cracks Karatinov with a solid left hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Karatinov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Karatinov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Silva has one foot on Karatinov's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Karatinov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silva circles away.
Silva wants to clinch

and Karatinov counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva is trying to control the position but Karatinov postures up.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Karatinov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Karatinov escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Karatinov has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Karatinov sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Silva is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Silva bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Karatinov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Karatinov is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silva is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silva has escaped and now he's on top!

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Karatinov!
Karatinov is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Karatinov is looking to get to half guard.
Silva lands a big shot there that rocks Karatinov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Karatinov is rocked!
Silva putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Karatinov is still in real trouble! Can Silva finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Karatinov! Silva sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Karatinov and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
