PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between max damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). damage comes into the arena with yes blaring out of the sound system. Andrei East told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from damage. No joy for East on that attempt.
max damage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

East bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
East tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Check out the look on East's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
East throwing strikes but damage manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

damage decides to stand back up. damage steps back and let's East get back to his feet.

East shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
East has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

max damage's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
damage tries to lock up and control but East gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
East pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Jeez, max damage's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at max damage's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
