The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoost tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nadal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nadal shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoost pinned against the cage. Hoost gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Hoost will probably get the nod.

Nadal is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hoost throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Nadal's body to avoid the submission. Nadal has instead reached around Hoost's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Nadal arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
