The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Robson connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.

That has opened up Joey Johnson's cut even more.

Robson is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Robson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Johnson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Cleveland Robson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Robson moves into the clinch.
Robson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Johnson up against the cage.
