Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Bearg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kozlov comes to the cage accompanied by The Russian War Song. Sergei Kozlov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
A swing and a miss from Bearg.

Bearg jumps guard and drags Kozlov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bearg is looking for a triangle here but Kozlov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bearg is trying to control the action in half guard but Kozlov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bearg has eaten all the pies!

Bearg working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kozlov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Kozlov thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bearg if he has to take too many more of those.

so Bearg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bearg drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kozlov gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bearg swings wildly with an uppercut but Kozlov uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kozlov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bearg crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kozlov - the referee stops the clock and Bearg gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kozlov. Bearg manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Bearg takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bearg has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kozlov.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kozlov feints and then cracks Bearg's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bearg down.
