Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Angel Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pierce's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Billy Talent - Devil On My Shoulder. Will Whyte acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Angel Pierce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Whyte!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce shoots in looking for a takedown. Whyte tries to sprawl out of it but Pierce keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Whyte manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Pierce avoids the head kick by Whyte.
Whyte throws a right hand that Pierce ducks under and follows up with a left that Pierce also avoids with ease.
Pierce slips under a jab from Whyte.
Pierce fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Whyte misses with a hook.
A combination from Whyte does no damage.
Whyte looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pierce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Whyte is trying to get back to his feet but Pierce has full control of the position and if anything, Whyte has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Whyte manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Pierce shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Whyte sprawls well. Whyte wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pierce gets slowly back to his feet.

Whyte tries to bum rush Pierce with a series of wild strikes but Pierce uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pierce is breathing heavily.
Whyte lands with an uppercut that bounces Pierce off the cage and back into rage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Whyte lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pierce dives in and grabs Whyte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Whyte pushes down on Pierce's head and hops out.
Whyte rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pierce moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Whyte throws a leg kick but Pierce sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Pierce shoots in but Whyte avoids the takedown attempt easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Whyte can do anything to dispel that myth.

Whyte is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pierce asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Pierce throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Whyte works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Whyte takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pierce tries for a takedown but Whyte sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pierce takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Whyte misses with a two punch combination.
Pierce is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Pierce tries to move into range but Whyte moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Pierce shoots in and drives through. Whyte sprawls well.
Whyte lands a nice looking kick to the body. Pierce takes a step back to recover.
Some wild striking there from Whyte.
Will Whyte seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Whyte throws a series of punches but Pierce avoids them all with ease.

Pierce throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Whyte's waist but Whyte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierce off to one side.

Pierce feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
