PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grammund Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samu Neva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Grammund Rider has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Grammund Rider seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neva drives through and clinches with Rider against the cage.
Neva with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Neva lands a knee to the body.

Neva escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rider ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Neva moves away.
Neva is looking to clinch but Rider is avoiding it.
A combination from Neva does no damage.
Neva is looking to clinch.
Rider fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Neva manages to avoid it.
Rider throws a jab but it's blocked by Neva.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rider. Neva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rider fails to land with a series of punches.

Neva rushes Rider and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rider is looking to break free of the clinch but Neva has double underhooks.
Neva with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Neva stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Neva looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Neva lands a good knee to the midsection. Rider won't want to take too many of those.
Rider can't break the clinch.

Neva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Neva tries to clinch but Rider moves out of range.

It looks like Samu Neva has been cut.

Neva darts in and clinches Rider up against the cage.
Rider is trying to force a seperation but Neva has the dominant position.
Rider wants to break the clinch but can't.
Neva tries a knee to the head but Rider blocks it.
Neva with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Neva lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Grammund Rider has been cut.
Neva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Rider.

Rider breaks the clinch.
Rider keeps the fight on the outside.
Rider swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Neva ducks under a wild hook from Rider.
Neva moves in looking to clinch but Rider pushes him off.
Neva with a nice cross.
A combination from Rider does no damage.
Neva tries to clinch but Rider is having none of it.
Rider throws a jab when Neva was well out of range.

Neva wants to clinch.

Rider catches Neva napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Neva to the canvas!

Neva is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Neva wants to stand up but Rider is controlling him.
Neva looks gassed!
Neva keeping moving, preventing Rider from controlling successfully.
Neva wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rider manages to pass to side control.

Rider wants to lay and pray for a moment but Neva keeps working.
Rider is really struggling to control Neva but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Neva is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Rider seems content to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neva kicks Rider off and gets back to his feet.
Rider checks a leg kick nicely.

Rider throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Neva counters with a nice body kick.
Rider throws out a loose jab but Neva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rider throws a nice looking combination but Neva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rider. Neva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rider misses with a jab, cross combination.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Rider! Neva is backing up but he can't get away as Rider lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Neva and ends the fight. Great knockout.
