The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sparing misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

sparing takes the fight into the clinch.
sparing misses with a hook from the clinch.
sparing will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Suomi up against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Suomi tries to pull guard but sparing won't allow it.
Suomi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. sparing gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
sparing blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
sparing misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Suomi.

Suomi jumps guard and drags sparing to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
sparing stopping the sweep attempt from Suomi.
sparing trying to control but Suomi is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
sparing might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Suomi kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
sparing looking to sit in guard and control but Suomi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Suomi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but sparing avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
sparing tries to close the distance and clinch up but Suomi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Suomi has hold of sparing's arm. He's looking for a kimura. sparing seems comfortable defending it but Suomi has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! sparing is real pain and he's forced to tap out! sparing is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Suomi couldn't care less - he's delighted!
