Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton has chosen Voices as his entrance music. Charlie Gibson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton shoots for a takedown but Gibson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Orton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gibson circles away quickly and effectively.
Gibson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Orton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gibson's guard.
Gibson is looking to stand up but Orton isn't so interested in that idea.
Orton throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gibson is looking to stand back up but Orton counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gibson.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Orton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Orton gets control of Gibson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Orton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Orton is adopting a defensive guard.
Gibson throws and elbow that misses. Orton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gibson's guard. Nice move by Orton!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orton won't allow Gibson to get back to his feet.

Gibson wants to stand and escape but Orton is having none of it.
Orton wants to control from the top but Gibson keeps moving.

Gibson is looking to stand up but Orton isn't so interested in that idea.

Gibson pushes Orton off and scrambles back to his feet.
Orton tries to clinch up but Gibson circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Orton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gibson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Orton wants to get back to his feet.

Gibson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Orton napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gibson lands a strong strike to the head of Orton. That's dazed him! Gibson looking to finish here. Orton is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Gibson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
