Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica - One. Striker has chosen MMA THEME as his entrance music. Jean Sebastien Blais has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Sebastien Blais!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Striker!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Striker connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Blais momentarily.

Blais closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blais lands in his opponent's guard.
Blais won't allow Striker to get back to his feet.
Blais advances position into side control!
Striker pushes Blais away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Blais gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Blais is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Striker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Blais prevents Striker from escaping the position.
Blais tries to move into full mount but can't pass Striker's legs.
Striker wants to get back to his feet.

Blais tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Striker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Blais is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Blais shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Striker but Striker pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Blais throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Striker's waist but Striker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blais off to one side.
Striker misses with a series of wild punches.
Liam Striker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A punch combination from Blais misses.
Blais will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Sebastien Blais. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blais is breathing heavily.
Blais tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Striker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blais lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Blais misses with a double jab
and Striker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Blais thinking.
Blais lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Striker circles away quickly and effectively.

and Striker counters with a left and a right that stings Blais.

Nice uppercut there from Striker.
Striker lands a right hook to the body.
Striker lands with a big left! Blais is wobbled badly! Striker comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Blais to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
