Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tandi Barsolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henery McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLovin has chosen In my head as his entrance music. Henery McLovin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henery McLovin!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Barsolo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barsolo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McLovin slips a jab and a cross from Barsolo.
Barsolo looks to land a combination but McLovin avoids it well.
Barsolo misses with a jab, cross combination.
McLovin dodges the punch combination from Barsolo.
Barsolo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Barsolo.
McLovin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

McLovin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Barsolo was covering up waiting for the punch and McLovin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Barsolo wants to stand up but McLovin is controlling him.
Barsolo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

McLovin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Barsolo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Barsolo is looking to stand up but McLovin isn't so interested in that idea.
McLovin is stalling in the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McLovin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and McLovin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McLovin.

Barsolo falls off balance throwing a combination

and McLovin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Barsolo's guard.
McLovin trying to control the position from guard on top but Barsolo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Barsolo wants to stand but McLovin is controlling the position.
McLovin looking to sit in guard and control but Barsolo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McLovin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Barsolo escapes and throws McLovin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McLovin manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McLovin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Barsolo is trying to break the clinch but McLovin is controlling him.
McLovin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Barsolo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Barsolo wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McLovin has him pressed against the cage.
Barsolo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLovin has Barsolo pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Barsolo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

McLovin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Barsolo regains guard immediately.

McLovin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Barsolo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Barsolo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Barsolo!

Barsolo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Tandi Barsolo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barsolo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McLovin counters with a one-two to the body.
Barsolo throws a head kick but McLovin moves out of range.

McLovin feints and as Barsolo raises his hands in defense, McLovin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McLovin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Barsolo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

McLovin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Barsolo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Barsolo has escaped and now he's on top!
