Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Perosche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Jacobs is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Perosche! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Jacobs! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs tries to clinch up but Perosche circles away and keeps his distance. Jacobs shoots in for a takedown but Perosche shows good takedown defense. Jacobs shoots in and bounces Perosche off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobs throwing strikes from guard but Perosche blocks nicely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perosche is on top in guard.
Perosche trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jacobs utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jacobs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perosche. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Perosche won't allow Jacobs to get back to his feet. Perosche trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacobs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perosche gets to his feet - Jacobs follows without any prompting. Perosche throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Perosche misses with a series of wild punches.
Jacobs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perosche tries to avoid it but Jacobs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perosche to the ground. Perosche escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Perosche is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Perosche is trying to force a seperation but Jacobs has the dominant position. Jacobs has Perosche pressed against the cage, preventing Perosche from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Perosche tries for a takedown but Jacobs manages to get underhooks.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Perosche tries to clinch but Jacobs is having none of it. Perosche throws a right and a left that both miss. Jacobs clinches. Jacobs with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Perosche has had enough of the clinch but Jacobs keeps him there for the moment. Jacobs manages to break the clinch.

Perosche trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacobs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perosche looking to pass the guard. Perosche wants to control from the top but Jacobs keeps moving. Jacobs wants to stand but Perosche is controlling the position. Perosche is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jacobs looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Perosche looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Perosche swats away the attempt to clinch by Jacobs. Jacobs tries to clinch up but Perosche circles away and keeps his distance. Perosche lands a jab-cross combination. Jacobs darts in and clinches Perosche up against the cage. Perosche controls Jacobs momentarily but Jacobs frees himself. Jacobs stops Perosche from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Perosche thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Perosche has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jacobs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jacobs connects with a couple of short punches. Perosche trying to strike off his back.
Perosche lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jacobs! Jacobs is trying to escape the mount.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Perosche wants it to stay on the feet. Perosche lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Perosche darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Mark Perosche is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jacobs swats away the attempt to clinch by Perosche. Danga de danga de dang - Perosche scores with a four punch combination! Jacobs closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jacobs lands in his opponent's guard.
