Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). daley's entrance music is lil wayne - a milli. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

daley clinches.
daley is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

daley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith tries to clinch

so daley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smith keeping moving, preventing daley from controlling successfully.
daley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith is trying to control the position from the bottom.
daley trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
Smith trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Smith throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
daley trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but daley is one step ahead there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Smith darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Smith misses with a few strikes there.
A right-left combo lands from Smith.

It looks like Paul daley has been cut.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Smith with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling daley to score with a decent uppercut.
daley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. daley gets slowly back to his feet.
daley scores with the left hand. Smith knows he should have avoided that one.
daley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Smith closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops daley! Smith dives in looking to finish! daley is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
