The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thompson circles away quickly and effectively.
Thompson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pierce misses with a series of wild punches.
Pierce is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Pierce lands a left and a right that send Thompson crashing to the mat, dazed. Pierce thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Thompson is rocked!
Thompson shoots in for a takedown but Pierce shows good takedown defense.
Oh Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pierce looks to throw the jab but Thompson is out of range.
Thompson circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Pierce. Thompson falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Pierce!
