Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Afro Samurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and numba one (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). numba one will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samurai throws a quick inside leg kick.
Samurai avoids a kick to the body.
Samurai pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Samurai closes the distance and clinches.
Samurai unloads a knee to the mid-section.
one tries to pull guard but Samurai holds him up against the cage and eventually one drops back down to his feet.
Samurai throws a knee to the head but misses.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Samurai.

Samurai gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Samurai not doing much here.
one is looking to control Samurai's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can one avoid being mounted?

one trying to control but Samurai postures up.
one is in trouble now - Samurai has advanced to mount!
Samurai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Samurai's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
one wants to control but Samurai is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

one wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
one just trying to survive but Samurai is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Samurai is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. one is defending well though. Samurai let's go of the attempt for now.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Samurai throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting one!
Samurai just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Samurai lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can one hold on?!
one is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Samurai doesn't have the hooks in and one manages to turn into his guard.

so Samurai counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
one trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Samurai stands and throws one's legs to the side, diving into side control.
one struggling a bit here.
Samurai takes a little break here. one wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Samurai wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by one, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samurai staying calm.

Samurai stands up and beckons one to his feet.
A head kick by one misses
and Samurai counters with a left and a right that stings one.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Samurai wants to clinch up but one keeps it at a distance.
one tries to clinch there but Samurai circles away.
one fails with a takedown attempt.
one throws a lazy head kick
and Samurai counters with a head kick.
one swats away the attempt to clinch by Samurai.
one throws a head kick but Samurai moves out of range.
Samurai misses with a body kick.
Samurai is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
one jabs at Samurai's body.
Samurai takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

one tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Samurai moves into the clinch.
one changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Samurai fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Samurai misses with a two punch combination.
Samurai tries to score a power double leg takedown but one sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Samurai somewhat.
one shoots for a double leg takedown but Samurai sprawls well. He's pushed one's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Afro Samurai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of numba one.

one gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

one has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Samurai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Samurai wants to control from the top but one keeps moving.
one controls Samurai momentarily but Samurai frees himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Afro Samurai dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Samurai throws a nice looking combination but one bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Samurai looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
one is trying to stand.
Samurai is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
one wants to sweep but Samurai has passed to side control!

Samurai decides to stand up, so the ref orders one to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

one tries to clinch up but Samurai circles away and keeps his distance.
one looks to clinch
and Samurai counters with a nice body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from one.
Nice sprawl there from Samurai as one shoots in.

Samurai clinches up with one and pushes him back against the cage.
one fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Afro Samurai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of numba one.
Samurai takes an elbow to the temple.
Samurai taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Samurai is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. one can't fight it off and eventually Samurai manages to take the fight to the floor. one looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

one looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Samurai puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
