Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Paquers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paquers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Contreras sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Contreras looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Paquers shoots in but no luck this time.
Contreras defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Paquers.
Paquers lands with a kick to the temple. Contreras shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Contreras breaks Paquers's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Contreras drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Paquers dives on top into guard.

Contreras has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Paquers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Contreras shoots for a double leg takedown but Paquers sprawls well. He's pushed Contreras's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Paquers closes the distance and clinches up with Contreras, looking for a takedown. Paquers pushes Contreras against the cage but Contreras circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Paquers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Contreras walks away with a smile on his face. Paquers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Paquers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Contreras is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Contreras works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Contreras is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Contreras is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Paquers is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Paquers has escaped and now he's on top!

Contreras isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Paquers stacks Contreras on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Paquers!

Paquers lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Contreras down.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Paquers is looking to take a break and control but Contreras is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Contreras is looking for a sweep. Paquers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Contreras is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Paquers pulls his head out easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
