Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diago Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Kopperman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diago Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Kopperman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sanchez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Kopperman forces Sanchez back against the cage and clinches.

Kopperman pulls Sanchez into guard.
Sanchez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kopperman is keeping the position for now.
Kopperman has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Kopperman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanchez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kopperman throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sanchez pushes down on Kopperman's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Sanchez prevents Kopperman from improving his position.
Kopperman holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Kopperman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but Kopperman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sanchez to get the leverage.
Kopperman is not content to let Sanchez control the position.
Sanchez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kopperman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sanchez thows a huge punch but Kopperman dodges it nicely.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kopperman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sanchez is looking to escape.
Sanchez is trying to control but can't.
Kopperman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sanchez is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Kopperman moves into the clinch.
Kopperman keeps control of Sanchez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sanchez fails to pull guard.

Kopperman has Sanchez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kopperman pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sanchez tumbling to the mat - Kopperman dives into Sanchez's guard.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Sanchez is trying to keep Kopperman in close.
Kopperman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Sanchez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kopperman trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sanchez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sanchez controls Kopperman momentarily but Kopperman frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Kopperman makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sanchez really felt that one!
Sanchez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kopperman swivels and escapes.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Diago Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Kopperman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sanchez takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kopperman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chad Kopperman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kopperman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
