The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
koulu shoots in but Austin avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Austin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. koulu is trying to defend but Austin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
koulu tries to get to full guard but Austin has control of the leg.
koulu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Austin really is a fat lump.
Austin performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
koulu really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Austin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
koulu wants to get back to full guard.

Austin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Austin lands in his opponent's guard.
koulu is trying to control the position but Austin postures up.
Austin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Austin tries to free his leg and advance position but koulu is retaining full guard.
Austin passes koulu's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
koulu is trying to maintain the position but Austin is very close to passing his half guard.

koulu is trying to control Austin's posture. Austin takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for koulu! Austin is rotating here... this could be the end... koulu is out! Austin has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
