Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between DANNY IMES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Notorious BIG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

BIG closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - BIG lands in his opponent's guard.
IMES will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
IMES is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

BIG drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and BIG jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
IMES is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
BIG landing with the ground and pound.
IMES is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
BIG wants to pass the guard but IMES is keeping the position.
IMES looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
BIG jabbing away but nothing is landing.
BIG misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
IMES doesn't succeed with the takedown
and BIG counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

IMES gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and BIG counters with a nice double leg into side control. IMES won't be happy with that.
IMES tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but BIG wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
BIG lands an elbow.
IMES is looking for a sweep.
IMES is breathing heavily.
BIG tries to advance to mount but IMES denies him.
IMES gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

BIG is trying to work for a kimura but IMES is defending well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with BIG in particular looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
BIG trying to mount his opponent but IMES defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
IMES tries to roll over but BIG keeps him under control.
BIG tries to pass the half guard into mount. IMES knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

BIG is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. IMES doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time BIG.
IMES wants to get back to full guard but BIG has passed into side control.
IMES keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
IMES is working hard here to advance position.

BIG has hold of IMES's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and IMES manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

BIG looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

BIG is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but IMES is surviving well by controlling BIG's body position as best he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

BIG is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by BIG!
