The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ripper looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Kurpinski kicks Ripper off and gets to his feet.

Kurpinski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ripper is fending him off so far but Kurpinski persists. Nope, Ripper circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Jack Ripper has been cut.
Kurpinski shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripper sprawls well. He's pushed Kurpinski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ripper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
