The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a head kick but Tycoon moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Tycoon or perhaps it was just good defense by James which made him look bad.
James misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
James takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Tycoon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Tycoon slips a jab and a cross from James.
Tycoon throws a sloppy head kick and James moves out of range easily.
James pulls out of a head kick attempt.
James lands a jab to Tycoon's midsection.
James cracks a nice hook into Tycoon's ribs.
Tycoon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of James's head.

James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tycoon swivels and escapes.
Tycoon throws a head kick but James moves out of range.

James avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tycoon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Tycoon counters with a big head kick but James shrugs it off.

Tycoon stands up from James's guard - Tycoon perhaps looking for a knockout.
Tycoon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to James's calf.
James dives in and grabs Tycoon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tycoon pushes down on James's head and hops out.

Tycoon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tycoon lands in his opponent's guard.
James is breathing heavily.
Tycoon wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.

Tycoon gets to his feet. James looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Tycoon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Tycoon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for James to stand up.
Tycoon dips to his left and cracks James with an uppercut!
Tycoon misses with a body kick.
Tycoon throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
James takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
James chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tycoon can pounce on him.

Tycoon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Tycoon decides to return to a standing position.
James moves out of range of the strikes.
Tycoon throws a head kick but James moves out of range.
Tycoon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rick James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brother Tycoon.

Tycoon clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage.

Tycoon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tycoon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on James. That did some damage!
Tycoon misses with a hook. James ducked under it nicely.
Tycoon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tycoon throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
James closes the distance looking to clinch

and Tycoon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Tycoon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Tycoon is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! James rolls with it to try and escape but Tycoon cranks on the arm and James is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
