The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smith showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorski misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Smith content to control rather than advance.
Smith passes to full mount!
Smith controlling from the full mount.
Smith avoids the attempt from Gorski to control.
Gorski tries to buck Smith off but he can't manage it.
Smith throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Gorski tries to hold on but Smith postures up.
Smith controlling the pace for now.

Gorski is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Smith has taken his back.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Smith seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gorski for as long as he can get away with.
Gorski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gorski is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
