The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
solid takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A jab from Jones does it's job there.
Jones stuns solid with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
solid takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to solid's calf.
A jab lands there for Jones.
solid fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones works solid's body with a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
solid needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.
solid on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jones cracks solid with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. solid looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
solid blocks the body kick.
Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones misses with a kick to the body.
solid dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on solid's head and hops out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
solid is breathing heavily.
Jones throws a front kick aimed at solid's knee but solid avoids it well.
Jones connects with a nice looking jab.
Jones throws a nice outside leg kick.
solid takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.
solid walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Howard Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
solid takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones lands with a right and another and another! solid is in big trouble! Jones lands again and this time it's lights out for solid! A quality knockout there for Jones.
