PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Kildahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kildahl comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Madness. Samuel has chosen Our Dreams as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Kildahl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jorge Samuel!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kildahl gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Samuel tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Samuel has Kildahl pressed against the cage, preventing Kildahl from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kildahl lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Samuel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Samuel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kildahl has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Samuel wants to stand but Kildahl has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Kildahl is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Samuel pulls his head out easily.

Samuel decides to stand up.

and Kildahl counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kildahl swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Samuel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kildahl avoids it really well and circles away.

and Kildahl counters with a nice uppercut.

Kildahl lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Samuel circles away quickly and effectively.

Samuel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Kildahl is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kildahl manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Kildahl's guard.
