Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregores Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thiago Junior!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior fails with a takedown attempt.
Mendez thuds his right hand into Junior's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Junior shoots in for a takedown but Mendez shows good takedown defense.
Junior shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendez sprawls well. He's pushed Junior's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gregores Mendez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thiago Junior.
Mendez throws a good cross that connects.

Mendez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Junior!

It looks like Thiago Junior has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mendez controlling from the full mount.
Junior has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Mendez's lack of action.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Junior is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mendez scores with a couple of nice shots.

Mendez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Junior is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mendez pulls his head out easily.

Junior is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mendez scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mendez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Junior does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mendez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Junior is looking to get to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mendez controlling his opponent.
Mendez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Junior's face.

That has opened up Thiago Junior's cut even more.
Junior is in a horrible position here. Mendez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The cut above Thiago Junior's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Junior defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mendez.
Mendez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Junior can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Thiago Junior's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Thiago Junior's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
