The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Syphon.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santos is defended easily by Syphon.
Syphon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Syphon connects with a body shot.
Syphon leaves Santos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Syphon scores with a hook to the body. Santos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Santos gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Syphon throws a wild body kick that Santos sees coming a mile off.
Syphon misses with a few strikes there.
Syphon catches Santos with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Syphon.
Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Syphon pinned against the cage. Syphon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kylar Syphon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paolo Santos.

Santos slips a jab and a cross from Syphon.
Santos fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Syphon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Syphon is defended easily by Santos.
Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Syphon's waist but Syphon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side.
Santos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Syphon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Syphon counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Syphon rushes Santos with punches - Santos moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Santos goes down! Syphon follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
